What are Heat Logs?

Heat Logs are made from  waste wood and are super compressed into a "briquette". No binders are used in the process, the briquette or log is bound by the woods own Lignin. Heat Logs burn at a higher temperature than logs - higher than wood, lower than coal. They burn well, producing a good high flame for at least half an hour . Heat logs are easy to light and very clean to handle. As they are made from waste wood, they are eco friendly and are often referred to as Eco Logs. There is very little ash and all our eco logs are made in the UK. They have a low moisture content (6-9%), meaning more heat in your home... Heat Logs give you a chance to stop using coal.

Because it is carbon neutral - this means that burning wood puts as much Carbon into the atmosphere as it absorbs when growing. Wood is sustainable, we can grow wood as quickly as we burn it. Wood is a renewable fuel...it is not a fossil fuel and it is not expensive. Heating by burning wood feels cosy and natural. Heating with a wood burning stove is very efficient. Wood prices are more stable than those of fossil fuels. Wood logs however have their limitations, moisture levels mean energy is used drying the wood during the burn, heat logs however have much lower levels of moisture making the output higher and the space you want to heat warmer.
